Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Paul-Justin Albeanu (“Squadon”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) for use of the Squadon mobile apps, website at joinsquadon.com, and related services (the “Service”).
By creating an account (including with email, Google, or Sign in with Apple), completing your profile, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16. The Service is intended for the Netherlands, Romania, and the United Arab Emirates. You are responsible for your account security and activity on your account. These Terms apply to those markets; we do not publish a separate country version.
2. What Squadon is
Squadon is a platform to organise and join sports games, communities, chat, and notifications. We do not operate venues or employ hosts. Organisers and participants are solely responsible for games they arrange, including safety, conduct, and compliance with venue and local rules. Physical activity is at your own risk. We may change features and do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of content you post (profile info, photos, messages, game details). You grant us a licence to host and display it only as needed to run the Service. Do not post content you lack rights to or that violates law or these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against others; post illegal, obscene, pornographic, hateful, or infringing content; impersonate people; spam; or hack the Service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that create risk or violate these Terms.
5. Safety, reporting, and blocking
Squadon includes user-generated content. You can flag objectionable content and block abusive users in the app. Blocking removes that person from your feed and notifies us. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours by removing violating content and ejecting (suspending or banning) the user who provided it, where the report is substantiated. Repeat or severe violations may result in a permanent ban. Contact contact@joinsquadon.com for safety issues.
6. Account deletion
Delete your account anytime: Profile → Settings → Delete account. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
7. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that scheduled games will occur as planned.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to €100 or amounts you paid us in the prior twelve months (currently €0 while the Service is free), whichever is greater. Mandatory consumer rights under EU and Romanian law are not excluded.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the Service or these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL. You may stop using the Service or delete your account if you disagree. We may suspend access for breaches or legal reasons.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. EU and Romanian consumers retain mandatory protections of their country of residence. UAE consumers retain mandatory consumer and data-protection rights that UAE law does not allow them to waive. Contact us first at contact@joinsquadon.com; EU consumers may use the EU ODR platform.
